General questions

What is your policy on design revisions?

Our process is highly iterative so that we arrive to a proposal that aligns with your expectations. Once design visualizations have been presented and finalized, we can create additional 3D renderings for a small fee of $200 per room. If a design element is rejected or if a request is made to swap out some elements, it may be necessary to redesign the room in part or in whole. In these cases, additional designs can be created but will be billed at our hourly rate as part of the next invoice.

Do you provide warranties or guarantees?

Products that we purchase from 3rd party vendors often come with guarantees or warantees. In agreeing to purchase products we select, you also agree to the policies of the maker/brand. When possible we attach these to the invoices we submit to you or send them to you for your review and approval. We also share any policies or protections in place for any of our shipping and delivery partners.

Do you offer virtual design services?

We are happy to discuss virtual design consultations on a limited basis as a bridge to a longer term relationship or project. However, in order to transform a space as part of a full-service or end-to-end engagement, it's essential that we can visit the design site, and work with partners to ensure that there are no unforeseen challenges throughout the process. Our one-off consultation fee is $200.

Do you offer personalized shopping experiences for selecting design elements?

Clients are welcome to join us for any showroom visit, when it is allowed by the owner. We also curate exclusive shopping trips for our clients, offering the opportunity to visit premier galleries, showrooms, and artisan studios during major global design events such as Zona Maco (Mexico City), Maison et Objet (Paris), and Salone di Mobile (Milan). These bespoke experiences allow clients to select products firsthand, meet with renowned artists and designers, and immerse themselves in the world of high-end design.

Can you work with clients from different locations in the US or around the world?

Absolutely. We work with an extensive list of vendors and gallery owners located not only in the US but in locations such as Mexico City, Paris, and Madrid. Whether you are in New York, Palm Beach, Montana, London, or Barcelona, we can still provide personalized design solutions tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

What types of design services do you offer?

We offer a comprehensive range of high-end design services for residential and commercial properties and retail businesses, including interior and product design. Our offerings cover concept development, product selection, warehousing, installation, and project management. Additionally, we provide architectural services, bespoke furniture design, experience/retail design, and for real estate developers and brokers, virtual staging and consultative services. Our holistic approach ensures every detail is meticulously planned and executed to create luxurious and functional spaces.

What is your typical design process?

We have a disciplined 10 step process that we follow for all clients, which includes site visits, concept development, market validation (commercial clients), a formal proposal, and a 5 step execution phase. To view details on what happens at each step, please visit our process page.

What is the typical timeline for a high-end residential design project?

Every project we work on has a different timeline based on it's requirements and size. We plan out each project at the design proposal phase and ensure that there are regular meetings from the start to keep you updated. If you have special timing needs, please let us know, and we’ll find a solution for you.

How do you ensure that the design will reflect my personal style and preferences?

Our design process is inspired by best practices from software product design, emphasizing thorough research and iterative refinement. We begin with an in-depth consultation to understand your vision, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences. Working closely with our design team we use prompts and images to refine your style. We then create custom design proposals, including mood boards, material samples, and 3D renderings, and collaborate with you throughout the project to ensure the final design aligns perfectly with your expectations. For our retail and commercial partners, we also offer formal market validation services prior to going to market to ensure success.

What other fees can we expect?

As a member of the design trade we are able to secure discounts from the large majority of our partners--both large brands and smaller boutique galleries. As a benefit of working with us, we pass on 50% of this discount to you. At times this may be a small amount (e.g.50%), but at other times may be upwards of 20%. We are always happy to show our clients the invoices we pay to ensure trust and transparency.

How do you calculate your project management fees?

For larger projects where we work as part of a larger team to manage all the pieces of a design project, we charge a 20% fee (e.g. 20% of architecture fees).

Are pre-contract consultations free of charge?

We offer an initial meeting free of charge. Additional consultations requested by clients not under contract with More Wow are subject to a $200 fee. The fee is invoiced from More Wow and should be paid prior to the meeting. Fees paid to More Wow during the contracting period, can be deducted from the total design fees due.

What payment methods do you accept?

We use honey book, an online invoicing system to generate our invoices. Clients can pay directly through honebook by using ACH or Credit Card. We also accept direct Bank to Bank transfers and Zelle for smaller invoices. For Credit Card and ACH payments, a ~3.25% fee may be adjusted to the invoice for processing and convenience.

How do you calculate your design fee?

Our design fee is calculated on a cost-per-square foot basis--currently $10 per square foot of designed space. This reflects the time that we spend designing, ensuring that our project exceeds your expectations, and the value we bring as a firm.
